- 75% Silver Nitrate and 25% Potassium Nitrate
- Ingredient Net Weight per 6” Applicator tip:
- 50 mg (37.5 mg Silver Nitrate, 12.5 mg Potassium Nitrate)Silver Nitrate tips are soluble in distilled, deionized or purified water.
- Strength of action is controlled by dilution with distilled, deionized or purified water, and can be stopped by washing the area with saline solution (0.9% sodium chloride).
- Silver Nitrate salts stain tissue black due to deposition of reduced silver. The stain will gradually disappear over a period of two weeks.
- WARNING: KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. The active ingredients are poisonous and may be fatal when ingested.
- WARNING: DO NOT USE ON THE EYES.
- CAUTION: SILVER NITRATE IS A CAUSTIC SUBSTANCE and may cause chemical burns.
- Wear chemical resistant gloves and other personal protective equipment as needed while using this product.
- Confine silver nitrate to the area being treated by using an appropriate physical or chemical barrier to prevent staining or burning of untreated tissue.
- Minimize skin contact time on thin delicate skin or neonates.
- Avoid prolonged contact with skin or other surfaces.
